MEET THE JERKS
NICER THAN WE LOOK. SOMETIMES.
Co-Founder/Executive Producer/Full-Time Jerk
Ben is one of the co-founders of the podcast. He just finished his undergrad in Journalism from the University of Georgia. Outside of the podcast, Ben is just a crazy old cat guy. The cat in the picture, that's Frank! Ben has also performed with various theatre troupes in the Athens area, including Hands In!, Brightstone Productions, and OnStage Walton. His favorite movies include Star Wars (all of them, yes even the prequels), Swiss Army Man, and Good Will Hunting.
Doug Goodin is the other guy who thought the world should listen to two grown men rant about movies. He is currently working on his undergrad at the University of Georgia where he is majoring in Political Science and Theater. Doug enjoys acting (in both dramatic and comedic forms), long walks on the beach, watching movies, talking over people, and making references to people or situations that only five people on earth will ever understand. Doug would also like for everyone to know that the theme song was his idea...that took him literally two seconds to create. Doug’s favorite films are The Shawshank Redemption, Back to the Future, and Star Wars Episode V: Empire Strikes Back (he likes the other movies too but Empire’s his favorite, and he hasn’t changed his mind yet).
Tristen "The" Webb is a frequent guest on the podcast. Born on the planet of Naboo a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, he made his way to our galaxy after an unfortunate incident with the Gungans. Something about being clumsy, or something like that. Anyway, when not appearing on the podcast, he is studying at UGA to become a photojournalist. Tristen is also involved with HydroLove and will be leaving for Montenegro to join the Peace Corps in January. Three of his favorite movies are There Will Be Blood, Interstellar, and 500 Days of Summer.
Michael is so annoyed by bad writing he became a writer himself. When he's not slaving away at the keyboard or recording with Some Jerks, he can be found finishing a Monster, making music, or preparing for the inevitable future in which he lives in the backwoods as a hermit spirit guide.
Elijah is an armchair critic armed with an English degree. He has a habit of watching movies as though he's reading a novel, which sometimes means reading deep underlying messages where there are actually none. His favorite movies include The Lord of the Rings, Monsters, Inc., and Mudbound.
